UPDATE: November 21.  WGNO covered the event yesterday and here is their report.  Here is the story on their website, or just watch the video below.

In case you haven’t seen or heard the news, the folks at Bike Easy are holding a rally Tuesday 20th from 3-6PM to show how important bike facilities are on Decatur Street in the French Quarter. One of our own has written an article for NolaVie about the DPW’s recent decision to exclude
bike lanes from the N. Peters/Decatur St. repavement project
Check it out

Check out their website for more details:, but here is how you can help;

Attend the Rally!  Rally is on at Washington Artillery Park (across from Jackson Square) from 3-6PM Tuesday Nov 20th.

Sign the Petition!

Call Mayor Landrieu!
Dial 311, and tell operator you are calling for Mayor Landrieu.  Tell them you want bicycle lanes on both sides on Decatur Street from
Dumaine to Canal.  Tell them why, in a personal way (e.g. you’re a mother
or you get to work that way). Thank the operator for taking your call.
Be friendly, courteous and professional.  We are on the right side of
this issue, let the facts speak for themselves.
